Welcome to Crestra

Crestra is a predominantly construction and landscaping company owned by a regeneration charity and this has ensured that a substantial part of our profits over the years have been used to support a wide range of community based organisations and projects. Because of our ownership structure and mission, Crestra is a socially-based ethical contractor with the following aims:

Our Corporate Aims

We seek to work on projects that support our corporate aims of People, Places and Prosperity, such as:

For People

Creating opportunities for people to work together, learn new skills through on the job training for trainees, apprentices and volunteers.

For Places

Creating better, safer and healthier neighbourhoods where people want to live and work, especially through involvement with area-wide regeneration projects.

For Prosperity

Helping businesses and individuals reach their potential through improving business premises.

Our Operational Services

Since the launch of Crestra in 2000 our range of services has continued to grow and we now undertake a wide range of work including:

  • New Build Construction
  • Property Refurbishment
  • Property Maintenance
  • Landscape Construction
  • Landscape Maintenance
  • Paving and Driveways
  • Home Security Installation & Maintenance
  • Manufacture & Installation of Garden Buildings
  • Health & Safety and Construction Training

Our Business Areas

Crestra was launched in 2000 to undertake regeneration activities that could not be undertaken within a charitable organisation and our range of services has grown ever since.

Crestra is now a Community Interest Company (CIC)

What does this mean?

It means that we are committing our future to help the people of the East Midlands and Yorkshire and Humberside through employment, training and volunteering opportunities as well as improvements to, and maintenance of, natural & built surroundings via conservationism, protection and refurbishment.

As a CIC that is limited by shares we are bound by law to reinvest at least 65% of our total profits back into the business to meet our social commitments or given as a charitable contribution to other organisations with similar aims and activities of our own where authorised by the CIC Regulator.

What our clients say?

  • The Terrace looks really good and changes the feel of the visitor centre. It fits in well with the image of Creswell Crags and we are all really pleased with the work done by Crestra, and with how the finished product looks.

Ian Wall Director | Creswell Crags Heritage Trust
  • After 6 years of hard work and many setbacks it is wonderful to see this unique building restored. The standard of refurbishment is much higher than originally envisaged and it presents wonderful opportunities for environmental education and heritage activities. Well done to all concerned, this will prove to be a regional treasure.

Chris de Feu Beckingham History Group
  • The building’s renovation brings a historic feature of the town back into use, creating an improved sense of arrival into Shirebrook and a platform to build successful businesses.

Alan Tomlinson Councillor | Bolsover District Council
  • This has been an exciting and unique project that has been led from day one by the ideas of the community. Through consultation and design the residents have got a flagship natural play area in their doorstep for all ages to enjoy.

    Fiona McQuaid Landscape Architect
  • This park is one of the best play spaces Newark and Sherwood District Council have done, we’re very pleased with it.

Phil Beard Business Manager | Newark and Sherwood District Council
  • Lots of hard work has gone into first of all protecting this wonderful green open space and then raising funds to get the railings painted and some play equipment installed. Everybody now sees the virtue of developing this site for public use.

Rob Parker Councillor | Lincoln West
  • Our collaboration with Crestra on this project is a clear demonstration of how organisations can work in partnership to the overall advantage of an area and local people.

Gary Kirk Chief Executive of Meden Valley Making Places
  • Without the hard work and enthusiasm of the adults and young people from our community, the project would not have been completed on time and to such a high standard. It also really cements Groundwork’s place as a quality local training provider.
